Black Lilly
On Christmas 2007 I started working on the
“black Lilly” deck of tarot cards. There was no real intention behind it, it was Christmas, there was nothing to do and I wanted a project to fill in some days and maybe make something to sell in my just starting Etsy store. It took about a year to complete the black and white illustration, which, at the time I was painting by hand. The project was really successful, and I met a whole group of Tarot collectors, sold a lot of those and then laid the project to rest for a bit focusing on other things.
Fast forward to now, I’ve been wanting to make some more of those, but in a more professional way. and Finally I found a printer that would print small batches of cards.
This is a full tarot deck, 22 major arcana cards and 4 suits each of 14 cards (cups, pentacles, swords and wands). The deck contains 79 cards and come in a tuck box. The deck includes a 20 pages booklet with the meaning of cards, a short explanation about the different archanas and an explanation about the celtic cross spread.
Each card is about 3.5"X2.5" (Standard poker deck size).
